Our First Ten

On August 23, 2003, we stepped off a plane to start a brand new life in Ghana, West Africa.
We had ten cardboard boxes, two backpacks, and a guitar.
We didn't know much of anything for sure, but we knew that God had called us here.

Fast forward ten years.
We now have three little girls and a new baby due very soon.
When we travel, we carry a lot more than ten boxes and two backpacks.
We aren't experts by any means, but we've hopefully learned a few things since we arrived here a decade ago.

To give glory to our God for all He's done in us these first ten years in Ghana, I'm going to share some of our lessons, grouped by tens, with you.
If you are a missionary, maybe they will be a blessing or an encouragement.
If you love missions, maybe they will add to your understanding or help guide your prayers for missions.
If you are curious, maybe they will give you some answers.
Hopefully they will honor The One who has been so faithful in our lives.

2 Corinthians 1:3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
2 Corinthians 1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
2 Corinthians 1:5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
