Missions Trip Update #2
Just a quick post - we had a great day today! We had really good services, with just over 100 adults and children coming this morning. The team did a great job, and they were a big help! We are now off to see a little bit of Ghana for a few days before the team heads back to Michigan.

Missions Team Update
I just wanted to post a quick update of how the missions trip is going here in Ghana. The kids (and adults) have been doing a great job! They've been very busy and very tired at the end of each day. They've been busy with public school Bible clubs, visitation in the community of our new church, and preparing the school for Sunday services. Please be in prayer for our first Sunday services - they will be held this Sunday, June 22nd. Also, continue praying for the unspoken situation of a few weeks ago, as it has not been completely resolved, and please pray for our rent situation. Our rent is due this month, and our landlady has decided that not only does she want to raise our rent, but also that she wants two full years' rent, instead of her customary one. We know the Lord is control of all these things and that the Devil would seek to distract us from the work here in any way he can!

Trip Update
Well, our missions group is here, and everything is in full swing! Today we start actually ministering in the local communities. They will have a very busy two weeks as they do public school Bible clubs, visitation, canvassing, and preparation for our first Sunday meetings. Pray for their continued health and safety! I'll post pictures if I get a chance, but I definitely have my hands full cooking for so many!

Missions Team Prayer Requests
As you think of it, please be in prayer for our upcoming missions team coming from the States. They are leaving the States on Thursday and should land here in Ghana on Friday night. They will be with us as we have our first Sunday service towards starting the new church. The Devil is continuing to fight as we prepare to start this new church. Please be in specific prayer about our meeting place - the headmistress of the school has been very helpful, but we are running into some problems with her assistant. Basically, he wants us to pay him for anything and everything! The headmistress keeps telling us one thing, but when we go to the school, he tells us something different and then says we have to pay. At this point he says we are going to have to meet on the bottom floor right next to another church, instead of upstairs in our own section. This will not only cause confusion when inviting people to attend, but "churches" here are very loud and disturbing as they all speak in tongues (very loudly) and drum (very loudly)! Pray that we can get this situation worked out quickly and easily. Pray, too, that the Lord really uses the team while they are here to see many people reached and many good contacts made for the future!
We will update you as the trip progresses!

Prayer Update
Thanks to all of you who have prayed for us the last few days. Thanks, too, to those who've left comments to let us know! Daily the Lord has given us strength and guidance to deal with the situation at hand. Although we do not know the complete outcome of everything, we do know that God has answered specific prayers for wisdom, direction, protection, liberty, and some resolution of the whole matter. As the Lord brings our family to mind, we ask that you continue to pray that God's will is done in our family's life and the lives of those involved.
Thank you all for your faithfulness.

Urgent Unspoken Request
Well, to make a long story short, I haven't posted in a while. But, I do have a good excuse! We've been going through a major spiritual battle here in Ghana for the last week. I'm not at liberty to put down any details, but I do want to ask that everybody reading this blog will please pray for our family and ministry. Our family is safe and happy, but there are major fightings without. If possible, we ask that you pray for this unspoken request for the next two days (Saturday and Sunday, June 7th and 8th). If possible, we even ask that those who feel led to do so will fast for a meal on one of those two days. Pray for Satan to be bound, for God to give us liberty and safety, and for a quick and complete resolution to the whole matter. We thank you in advance for your prayers!
